Babysitting/Soup Sales Fundraiser

Ok, all I can say is "WOW" - don't know about the rest of you, but we had such a great time! Our service was a huge success and we raised $1000 to be donated to Hope Street Missions. Awesome job to everybody and especially to Louann who organized everything - thanks, Lulu!! The babysitting night was a huge success and we had several people ask if we were going to do it regularly - so let me know your thoughts on this...quarterly maybe? Give it some thought and let us know. Here's a couple of pics -- again, thanks and great job, everybody!!

January

Hope you all had a blessed Christmas and your New Year is starting out better than expected. As most of you know, we're moving Focus to Saturday evenings following the new Saturday evening service (FYI - service starts at 6:08 pm). I know this is better for some and not so much for others but we appreciate your understanding and hope you'll all still make it! Here's what's on tap for January:
1/9 @ 7:30 - Bowling (meet @ the bowling alley after service)
1/16 @ 7:30 - Starbucks
1/23 @ 7:30 - Game Night @ the Mitchells (bring your favorite dessert or snack)
1/30 @ 7:30 - Bonfire @ the Mitchells (s'mores will be provided...YUM!)

Ok, here we go for December...

Dec. 4th - Parade of Lights - we're meeting at Kelly's Coffee at 6:00 (might wanna bring a blanket)

Dec. 12th - not sure yet -- let me know if you have any ideas!!

Dec. 18th - Our fundraiser night. We're babysitting @ the church from 6-10pm. If you haven't already done so, please let me know your availability.

Dec. 25th - MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hey guys,

The kayak trip got nixed until it gets warmer...I know, I'm in trouble with Rindy now...very sorry. Still up for any ideas on what y'all want to do.

Here's what's up for November! (I wish I could figure out how to post an actual calendar)...until then, here goes:

November 6th - Movies (Where the Wild Things Are) @ 5:30. Meet but the terrarium thing outside Movies Havasu. Look for Rindy cuz Ken and I won't be there.

November 13th - Bonfire/Potluck - our place. Bring a finger food and something to drink and be prepared for s'mores (it probably wouldn't hurt to pray for a little bit cooler weather either):)

November 20th - Game night @ Heidi's - please contact me for her info or check the calendar at church.

November 27th - Enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday -- see you next month!!

Had such a great time Friday night -- great friends -- Thanks!!! October is a bit of a busy month for Ken and I and we won't be around for the first 3 weeks so I'm counting on y'all to keep the fun-having going when we're not around. Here's what's on the agenda:
Oct. 2 @ 6:00 - Meet @ Jersey's Grill (under the bridge) Ken & Debbie absent - look for Rindy
Oct. 9 @ 6:45 - Meet @ Movies Havasu (again, look for Rindy - not sure what shows are opening at this point so you guys can figure it out when you get there)
Oct. 16 @ 6:00 - Starbucks (on Lake Havasu Ave.) -- Rindy, Rindy, Rindy
Oct. 23 @ 6:00 - Volleyball -- we're baaacckk (yay cooler weather) - meet at the courts near the skate park
Oct. 30 - No Focus
Oct. 31 - Helping out on Main Street for Halloween

Hope everybody had a great time at our place the other night -- I know we had a blast!! I think that's going to have to be a monthly thing! Now for September...
September 4th - we're dark because of the holiday -- Happy Labor Day!!!
September 11th - Starbucks (Lake Havasu Ave.)
September 18th - The Mitchell's house - finger food potluck. Please bring whatever you want to drink and a dish to share.
September 25th - ROAD TRIP!! Going to go cheer on our Fighting Knights football team at the Golden Shovel Game in Mohave Valley. Meet at the old Walmart parking lot @ 5:30 and we'll carpool up. Go Knights!!

We're looking forward to cooler weather and more outside stuff. As always, let me know your ideas & suggestions. I'm still looking for any assistance with the blog - I've played with all of the gadgets and I can't seem to figure out how to post a calendar...let me know if anybody figures it out.

You all have no idea how much we appreciate your friendship - we're truly enjoying getting to know all of you.
