Potluck/Volleball

We had a blast Friday night sharing a meal and playing volleyball. Despite the heat, we had enough participants for a good volleyball game and a couple of cheerleaders. Playing with those "prison rules" allowed both sides to break even and each side won a game so nobody walked away a loser. I must admit I was getting a little concerned with the one participant who was under the misconception that we were playing 'strip' volleyball but I won't name any names (Tina). That was lots of fun - we just might need to save another round of volleyball until it cools off a bit.

July

Ok guys, we aren't doing anything for the first weekend in July - Ken will be working the whole weekend and since it's holiday, a lot of you all won't be around.

So, the following weekend, we're going to do something REALLY fun...however, it's not going to be on our usually Friday night. We're going to go to the Hualapai's on Saturday, July 11th. Sounds fun, eh? We're going to meet in the PetSmart parking lot at 9:00 a.m. so we can caravan/carpool up there. We're pulling out at 9;15 SHARP so, unless you just want to meet us up there, be at PetSmart at 9:00 a.m. Bring your own lunch, refreshments and a chair and be prepared for a fun day of hiking (or just relaxing up in the cool pines), picnicing and great fellowshipping. If you're meeting us there, please let me know so I can try to give you an idea of where we'll be.

Then on July 17th, you're going to be back at Starbucks - I say "you're" because Ken and I will be out of town from the 17th through the 26th.

I was thinking on July 24th, you all might like to go to the movies...there are some good movies coming out in July. "I Hate Valentine's Day" looks good but maybe that can be a topic for discussion at Starbucks on the 17th and you all can get the movie figured out.

On July 31st we're back to the bowling alley.

I still need to check out the kayak thing and can hopefully get that done this week - I'll keep you 'posted'.

June Events

We had lots of fun bowling earlier this month! Even us cheerleaders had a great time.

Hopefully, y'all didn't miss Kenny and I too much at Starbucks last week - I won't mention how much our ears were burning!

Don't forget this week (June 19th), we're going to see "The Proposal." We're meeting at the smoothie place in front of the Ultrastar theatres. We'll have a smoothie and then go to the show.

June 26th @ 6:30 pm - Potluck/Volleyball. Meet @ Rotary Park - cabana by the 1st set of volleyball courts. RSVP with the Mitchells so we know who's bringing what.

I'm still trying to get the hang of this 'blog' thing - hang in there with me and let me know if you have my suggestions.

It sounds like we're going to have a good turn out for next week at Rotary - don't forget to bring whatever you're drinking and a chair. I'm bringing plates & utensils. Here's what's on the menu so far:
